About us

NHS North and West Reading Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is a group of GP practices in North and West Reading, Berkshire.

In April 2013, we became responsible for planning and purchasing your local health services. Commissioning is the process of assessing local health needs, identifying the services required to meet those needs and then buying those services from a wide range of healthcare providers, which can include hospitals, community-based services, ambulance services and a variety of voluntary and community sector organisations.

Our vision is to maximise our clinical expertise, patient voice and financial resources to reduce health inequalities and improve the health and wellbeing of our population

The aim of the Access Policy is to inform patients, relatives and staff of their rights and what to expect from the trust.
